These two Coastal Brown Bears Cubs were watching their mother fish in Katmai, AK. Coastal Bears gather here in late August to feast on spawning Salmon. Katmai is a remote area in Alaska that can only be reached by boat or float plan. It was a great experience photographing these bears in their natural habitat. Let's hope it remains this way for future generations.

Oh maaaaannnnn - this really should have won the contest. Anyone can take a picture of Sprague Lake. Not too many can take a picture of 2 bear cubs! Does Sprague Lake give you a warm cuddly feeling inside? No. Do twin baby bears??? Yup. Spague Lake is sterile. Babies are not. End of story. Alethea
