BOISE , Idaho — The Idaho Park and Recreation Board has selected David Langhorst as the new director of Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation.

EPA: Pebble Mine could devastate Bristol Bay, region

A new report by the Environmental Protection Agency says the proposed Pebble Mine could devastate Alaska's Bristol Bay, home to the world's largest sockeye salmon fishery.

The EPA report, released Wednesday, says a large-scale copper and gold mine would pose risks to the salmon and the tribes who have depended on the fishery for thousands of years.
